Stress is often initiated by a single event or episode, you can learn to recognise your stress 'triggers' and when you do you can learn to introduce new, alternate behaviour at the first signs of the onset of stress, hence halting, at an early stage, the piling up of these triggers that all add up to produce high stress levels.

Hypnosis not only helps you to recognize your stress triggers, but while in the hypnotic state you are better able to see alternate perspectives and behaviours in stressful situations. You can learn to re-programme your thoughts and actions while in a trance state to help you develop new behaviour in the waking conscious state.

By experiencing the deep relaxation of a hypnotic state, your body learns to relax.  You will feel more rested, energetic, and you will find your sleep becoming deeper and more peaceful. As you begin to feel better physically, your thinking will become clearer, and you will react to stressful situations in a more calm manner.

As part of the programme you are taught self-hypnosis and NLP techniques to allow you to relax in any situation.

As you learn to control your response to stress triggers, your emotions will be more controlled as well, and you will begin to experience a greater sense of peace and serenity no matter what circumstances in which you may find yourself.

Are you stressed?

Stress is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as "a state of affair involving demand on physical or mental energy".

Perhaps an easier to understand definition may be, "Stress is any change to which you must adjust"

Either way excess stress can affect your life dramatically so the management of stress is important.

Because stress is related to the natural 'fight or flight' response the reaction to stress can include an increase in blood pressure, pulse rate, energy levels, mental activity and muscle strength.

Stress can come from external or internal sources. It may come from the environment, or from the body and/or the thoughts and emotions. it can be caused by situations at work, home, in a relationship, death of a relation or a friend, divorce, etc.

If you suffer from any of the symptoms below, you may be over stressed.
